Roses
After hiking with a friend, she gave me fresh asparagus from her beautiful garden. I have never much liked asparagus, but I gave the garden-fresh version another chance. It was delicious! I sprinkled a little salt and garlic powder and roasted for about twenty minutes. Even my veggie-averse boys didn't mind it. Now I need to convince her to give me more. 🤣
My older son finished his school lacrosse season this last week and earned the Be The Best award for his work ethic and toughness. We were proud of him for his efforts, and he was proud of himself, too. I love when we can commend our kids for good character traits they work hard to develop and over which they can control. 💛
